Urgent Water Conservation Request

Newport MUD is asking all residents to conserve water. The pressure in the District is currently adequate enough to avoid the state’s boil water requirement; however, it is lower than we would like.

To help maintain water pressure in the system during this winter weather event, please use water only for essential tasks. Please stop running water as a prevention for frozen pipes. With the temperatures rising above freezing, you are not at risk.

If you are worried about your pipes freezing, please turn your house valve off and drain your service lines. If you have any questions, please contact our 24-hour emergency line at 281-324-9803. Our crews are in District and will assist you.
